Every Detail 11/15/2021
Hello all :)
This week has been so so good!
Monday we had a zone pday and my zone really does have some of the most amazing people! It was a really good day!
Monday night the STLs (sister training leaders) came over for exchanges. Which I love! It's like having cousins over for a big sleep over haha ;)
Last exchanges I went to St Albans and this time I stayed in Hayes. I was really nervous about it just because I still feel so new to the area but I actually surprised myself and didn't get lost, not even once! 🤓
This week was the last week of transfers so we did a lot of things as a zone. Wednesday we did a 2 hour finding blitz. It was nice to feel and know that the whole zone was united :) Every Wednesday evening we go to Patricias house. She is a member and recently broke her femur so she needs lot of help. It's really nice to serve others so we always look forward to that. Thursday we had district council which took up most of our day.
We went to distrixt council then did a district blitz of street finding for an hour, then we had lunch and did transfer predictions. It was a really good day! And Elder and Sister Davis made us lunch so even better :)) Thursday night we had a few lessons and even committed to "walking" with our friend Josiah.
Josiah is striving to live the Word of Wisdom and in doing so, he has committed to giving up a lot of things. So Sister Fennegan and I have giving up sugar in support, which is super difficult because Michal (who was baptized last weekend keeps buying us candy!)
It's so nice to be of support for Josiah though, it reminds me of when the whole Fox family would fast basically every week for my grandpa while he was in the hospital last year. Support is so important and Jesus Christ is the best support we have! 💗
Friday's are always weird due to weekly planning. It's very slow and busy work but it's needed.
Saturday was kind of a normal day for the most part aside from planning for Connor's baptism. We did a zone dinner/game night over zoom before The Chosen as well :) I am kind of bummed out though because it was the last episode. But it was such a good episode! If you dont watch The Chosen you should! You gain a better undersdtanding of Jesus Christ and His love, ugh! It's just SO good!
Sunday we had ward council, church (we helped in Primary and it made me miss my old calling & Spencer Hamblin during music time hahah), and after church Connor was baptized! & Michal got the Aaronic Priesthood! Such a blessed day full of some good miracles! So happy for both of them 🥰
I was so happy to see him be baptized! He said as soon as he came out of the water he felt a weight lifted off his shoulders. It made me think about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how He has already carried all the "weight" we just have to come to him and he will lighten the load, I hope that makes sense lol.
Being a missionary is honestly so cool. There is miracles in every moment of everyday and as a missionary I have been able to really recognize that! God is in EVERY detail. There is a quote I love that brings me so much peace and comfort
"He has already prepared the way, He is now preparing you"
The way is simply Jesus Christ. He is the way to everlasting happiness, He is the way to healing, to forgiving, and most importantly He is the way home to our Father in Heaven.
After witnessing 2 baptisms I have been thinking about how blessed I have been to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ my whole life. I am full of so much graditude. I talked some about my birth mom when I first started my mission and I am just so grateful that she followed the spiritual prompting that led me to being raised in the church. I also have so much gratitude for my parents who, despite being heartbroken after losing a baby so far along in their pregnancy, acted in faith and knew that God provides a way, always. God has been in every detail of my life since before I was even here and I am forever grateful. He is in the details of your life as well!
I deserve nothing but he has given me everything <3
I love being a missionary! And I have been a missionary for a whole 2 months now (crazy huh!!) Made it to my first ever transfer, which is super weird because Sister missionaries only have 12 transfers in there mission its scary to think about how fast time will go by.
