11/22/2021 Home (sick) for the holidays
Hey homies, I miss you.
I am currently on the tube, trial to rush this email so apologies for the nonsense that is to come. π€£
This week has been super busy but super slow at the same time. As most missionaries would say, the days are slow but the weeks are fast. We have had a lot of lessons cancel lately so we've done a lot of phone, street, and social media finding... but that sometimes takes along time to see the efforts, so its been a weird week.
We had transfers and I got a new district leader. He seems very kind but I miss my old district leader a lot he was an amazing example to me.
I wish I was home for Thanksgiving! But I have zone conference on Thursday and Sister and President Thompson (and the other senior missionaries) are making us a thanksgiving dinner so that's second best right after the Fox Family holiday parties hahah. I really do miss home but I also really love being a missionaries. I don't need to be close to home when I am SO close to my Savior π
This week should be fun, we had district pday today and went to a town called Covent Gardens which was so fun! We loved seeing all the Christmas decorationsπππ
This week is pretty much the same, we have 3 DA's (dinner appointments) this week which is CRAZY! Last transfer we only got fed twice so 3 in one week is insane and we are so thankful for it!
Then like I said Zone Conference on Thursday :))
Oh yesterday was stake conference which was really good.
I decided to start studying the "curse of blackness" and blacks and the priesthood this week during personal study and I still don't have all the answers but I feel the Spirit so strongly, I feel my Father in Heavens love for me & at Stake conference one of the speakers was talking about a trial he has faced and said he got an answer from God. His answer was "Do you have to know the plan? Isn't it enough to know that it is MY plan?" And i really loved that because as I study this topic that scares me, as I serve a mission, as I do all these things that I don't know how to do or what the outcome will be... God already knows.
So this week I have gained a stronger testimony of God's perfect plan. Nothing is a surprise to him, and none of us can sink further than the Savior's hand can reach. Remember to be grateful for trials because trials are necessary. Messy is required to grow. You can't see the rainbow without facing a little bit of rain. This week be so so grateful for the "rain" in your life.
Happy Thanksgiving! I love you all big time!
With Love,
Sister Fox
