12/13/2021 3 Months

Hey everyone! This week has been pretty normal for the most part. We had interviews on Thursday which were so good even though they had to be virtual. President Thompson is so good! When we started my interviews he goes "I love getting your emails! I'm sorry I can't reply to all of them" and that gave my heart a hug :')

The Thompsons are just amazing and I am so grateful for them! I don't think I could do this whole mission thing without them!
We had a lot of DA's this week which was so nice because then I don't have to make myself food 😂
Finally had fish n chips... and that's all I have to say about that lol.
Went to the Whittreads for a DA and they are the coolest couple! They remind me so much of my parents 20 years from now probably (always travelling!!)
They said they are going to visit Utah again when the SLC Temple is open and I told them they will have to come visit me because I will be home by then :) and Carol said she would do my hair for me while I am in the Hayes area! She is so sweet! And makes me miss home a little less 🥰
Yesterday we went into Lee Valley which is in North London. North London is actually Sister Jones area so I got to talk with her for awhile! We went there because our friend Samuel (who we had to refer) got BAPTIZED! it was so amazing to be there! And he asked Sister Fennegan and I to be witnesses ❤  Michal got to pass the sacrament at church yesterday as well which was such an special thing to witness as well!
That's basically all the fun things about my week! This week my zone will be going to the temple on Thursday! Can't wait ☀️
Idk if I ever mentions covid going through the mission but that's been happening and it's been hard not being able to have in person district councils, exchanges, interacting with other missionaries the last 2 weeks so the Temple will be really nice to be with everyone!!

I've been thinking a lot about timing the last few weeks. Thinking about my life and where I was last year. God is so merciful! And His timing is literally an act of mercy! I say that because this time last year... my family and I were preparing ourselves for the huge possiblity of my grandpa passing away. At this time I was also preparing to go on a mission and finishing my mission papers.
God's timing was so hardto understand at this time. I was about to lose my grandpa, leave my family... none of it made sense. Then my grandpa made his recovery which we are so grateful for!! And I really got to focus on my mission :)
But then I didn't get my call for months! Which I was so annoyed and confused by! Then when I got my call I had to wait months again! And I didn't understand the timing at all. But I have been thinking about all the things that happened while I eas waiting. God was being merciful with me. He sees beginning to end. He knew my family would l have to put our sweet Nixon down, he knew Covid would've caused me to miss out on the experiences I had at the mtc... he knew and he knows all things! And when we are waiting, he is paving the way. I am so grateful for the this last year that I have had to grow and learn how to fully trust God's timing! I can't say it enough, God is in every. single. detail. And He knows what he is doing.
Scriptures speak volume!
2 Nephi 22:2
"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation" ❤❤❤

Pics of Samuels baptism and my bestie Sister Carol!🥰 also, weird thing they do in here-nobody is "Brother" or "Sister" surname they all go by there first name (not sure if it's a Hayes thing or a UK thing but either way it's weird 😂😂)
Anyways I love you all & hope you have all had a wonderful week!

Cheers ☀️
