9/5/2022 Trio Trouble
Hey everyone! It's been another fantastic week! It's been really busy and full of miracles which I always love! I was really sad to say goodbye to sister Borden but i got to see her on Thursday at MLC since we are both still STLs(:
So Tuesday was transfer tuesday, so i got my TWO new companions! Sister Pereira from SLC & Sister Walker from Florida! I love them both so much and we have alredy become so close in just a few days! Sister Walker is so cool! She was called to serve in Russia originally so she started in Croatia, then to Moscow, then because of the war was reassigned to the great ELM but was visa waiting as a Temple Square sister! She and i will be celebrated our 1 year the same day and leaving the field together<3 (we decided we're soul sisters)
We had some good district councils this week, got to know the new sisters that moved into our zones! Then we had MLC on Thursday which was really nice. Friday we had 2 district councils and in between them we really needed to get weekly planning done. We started weekly planning and were talking about Seit and Sylvia and their family and i just got the strongest feeling that we needed to drop everything & go see them right then! Which was so weird and i didn't really want to because we always have our scheduled lessons with them on Sunday and weekly planning is a very important part of missionary life so i thought it would be best to keep working. The thought camw to my mind again so i told the sisters how i felt and they said i should call first and then we could go over if they were home. I called Seit and he said we could come over.
We went over and found out that Seit's father had passed away that morning. The last lesson we had with them was The Plan of Salvation lesson. So we were able to testify again of the things we just taught a few days before. The Spirit was SO strong and everyone was brought to tears! ♡
Saturday was great! We went over to our besties Beau and Delcie's house and taught them their first official lesson! They are the sweetest girls! We gave them both their own copies of The Book of Mormon and they were so happy about it & even texts their friends in the ward about it! The Sisters and I think we will be inviting them to be baptized this transfer!
♡CANTERBURY IS SO BLESSED♡
We were able to go to a ward beach party and it was good to see Seit and His family smiling! Sunday was a happy day as always (: We had the usual Sunday afternoon lesson with the Kokoshi family (seit & sylvia) and we invited them to all be baptized on the 25th! They are so happy & I am so so excited for them !!
Today has been super fun too! We had district pday, went to this laser tag arcade & the owner ended up playing a few rounds with us too haha.
I'm so happy here! I don't want to leave hahaha. I've been studying in D&C a lot lately and there are so much beautiful council the Lord is giving us. Its just a matter of us listening. I've really been trying to seek the Lord's will and God's plan for me post mission. What School? Career? etc. And it's been stressing me out so much! I asked Elder Nelson for a blessing and continued studying.
Things I liked this week...
- "cleave unto the covenants which thou has made" Mosiah 23:21
-" when i sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me" Micah 7:8
-"Behold, thy sins are forgiven thee, and thou art an elect lady, whom i have called." D&C 25:3
Things I am learning...
☆ The Atonement of Jesus Christ makes it possible for God to be "a perfect, just God, and a merciful God also"
☆Every blessing we receive is an act of mercy
☆His divine mercy is inifite and eternal
☆God knows what He is doing. Listen to the promptings!!
☆God's will does not have to be KNOWN to be TRUSTED!
I love you all! Hope you are having a happy week ♡
Love,
Sister Fox 🌻
