3/8/2023 Bday PDAY
I think it's kind of silly to have international womens day on my birthday not gonna lie... but maybe God is gonna teach me how to be a little more selfless lol.
Anyways this email may be a bit lengthy so sorry about it. Reading is good, it's been really hard going through all the emotions of coming home but its been a lot of learning and growth so i am definitely grateful!
Since the endowment session had be revised President Thompson really wants all of us to go to the temple this month so I begged everyone in my district to come to the temple with me today because there's no place i'd rather be today! (other than hugging mom & dad and maybe getting my birthday doughnut but all is well hahah) We also got some (british style) mexican food and it was actually good! Also my new bestie Elder Cavaco made me a traditional portuguese birthday cake, love him for that!
This week has been good! It was really weird working on Monday & i was worried i'd be exhausted but Philippians 4:13 am i right? (;
Yesterday we had exchanges with the Bracknell Sisters (flatmates) and that was good. It's always nice to spend some time with someone new and i was with Sister Tehahe-Stemmer who is from France!
Sister HΓΈjvang and I are working really hard and have a few people who are wanting to get baptized! And a family
please keep praying for them!

speaking of! i didnt have time to introduce the friends that we are teaching right now last week!
Joy is a mother of 8 year old Divine, 5 year old Daisy, and 2 year old Divina. Her and her husband Victor moved here from Nigeria about 3 years ago and are enjoying learning about the restored gospel and are preparing to be baptized as a family!!
Folu is 21 and loved God! she's so sweet and i feel like i was sent to reading for her specifically. She also recently told us that she wants to be baptized!
Michelle is the sweetest 10 year old girl and has been taught everything about the gospel. She also loved President Russell M Nelson and really really wants to get baptized but her mother is pentecostal and isn't a fan. We are praying a lot that her heart will be softened so Michelle can be baptized!
Alexia + Augusto are siblings and their father is a member! They just came to england 2 months ago from Guinea Bissau and don't speak much english. But luckily the Spirit teaches and not us! They are preparing for their baptism on the 18th of this month
They are the cutest kids, Alexia is definitely 14 though! We talk through google translate and she said "i can do you hair, make you look better"

ouch lol!
We also visit a lot of members and on of the families is from Italy, they had us over and taught us how to make Gnochi! it was soooo good and actually really fun! ALSO, they whipped out a homemade birthday cake at the end and i almost cried
I feel so blessed !

time is getting a little scary fast honestly! Tomorrow i have my very last Zone Conference. & Saturday there is some special Sister Devotional where we will be visited by Sister Browning & Sister Craven and i am really looking forward to that!
i have come to the conclusion that i am terrible at keeping friendships but thats okay because that allows me to make Jesus Christ my #1 & it's been such a rewarding feeling to put my relationship with Him above all

the temple was sooo amazing, you NEED to go asap! i've never felt closer to the Lord or more grateful for my covenants than i have today! & i know that the changes are inspired of God so go! The Gospel is so simple and God is so good!
sorry this was so long but you only have 4 more so endure to the end (;
love you all!
xx
