Cheeky Monkey 4/26/2022

This email has nothing to do with monkeys and i don't think any of my UT friends would know what the term "cheeky" means lol but this week i've been studying a lot about repentance. I read a talk that spoke a lot about becoming more. I want to bevome the type of person who can see everyone i've ever met in Heaven and be able to say to them "i have never said a bad thing about you." That is Christ like love and that's something i strive to develope. With that being said i feel really bad about talking negatively about a companion in my weekly emails home in the past and i strive to change and to see everyone through Christ's eyes, always.  "Forgiver us our debts as we forgive our debtors." 3 Nephi 13:11 Not much to update you on this week. Same old same old. Staying busy, healthy and safe. Enjoying the work and the warm weather. Doing a solid 10/10 tbh. Went on exchanges with Sister Baraza which was fun because her and i used to live tog...

Easter 4/18/2022

"Don't you know i've had diarrheas since Easters?" Again with name the movies ;)  Hey y'all! This week literally went by so so fast. I couldn't even tell you what we did tbh lol. Training is going well it's definetely really interesting and i am learning to go at a slower pace which has been difficult but also so good because i have been reminded that this is God's work and it does go on no matter the pace or the missionaries, miracles always happen because He loves us.  This Easter season has been so special. It's kind of weird knowing this is my only Easter on the mission but i've felt really close to my Savior. I am so grateful to celebrate him and to testify of him every single day!  I had a really cool conversation with one of the Elders this week. And he said something that really touched my heart. He said, "We don't repent because we aren't good enough. We repent because we are good enough." That really got me thinking....

7 months 4/12/22

Okay ima be honest... month 6 to month 7 has been the longest month of my mission life hahah. I've gitta be at least 9 months by now ;)  Haha well, wow this week. Lots of busy missionary things. Interviews, finding, teaching, service, and baptisms :)  About 2 weeks ago we were walking down Walworth Rd and this man yelled "Sisters! Come here sisters!"  His name was Louis (he's this sweet old man from Scotland) and he was sitting next to his friend Anne. He had just been talking to her about coming to church and wanted us to give her a Book of Mormon. We had a good conversation with them both and then went on our way. A few days later we saw him again and he was helping a blind man across the street. He introduced us to him (Adam) and come to find out he was baptized about 2 years ago! So we have been calling him and did some service for him this week. It was really great!  Wednesday we had interviews and they were great as always, this one was probably the best interv...

General Conference 4/6/22

Wow! Where do I begin?! This week has been really busy in the best way, so much has happened and i can't believe it's only been a week since my last update.  On Wednesday we had Zone Conference. It was amazing! Being so close to Easter we focused on the attributes of Christ. I am getting to know Jesus Christ a lot better as I serve him and the spirit was so strong on Wednesday. President and Sister Thompson are so so amazing, i love them so much and they really know how to encourage me and all the ELM missionaries!  On Friday our district was invited to "Mamma" Aidoo's house (the woman who welcomed me to the ward by saying "welcome to the jungle" 🤣) for dinner and we had FUFU. 🤩 A traditional African dish that was literally SO GOOD! i dont really know what it was but it was good lol. We ate it with our hands so it was a whole new experience but it was really fun to have a DA with all the Elders! She says we can all go to Africa now too hahaha This week...
